Week 1: 3 Point Perspective

This week our focus was on 3 point perspective. Our major tasks focused on creating a chasm with links to the sea using monoliths and statues. I think that overall the pieces appear to be in that perspective, but I think the bird's-eye view image is more unreadable. I think that this is because of my lack of planning with the piece and its colour palette. I mainly decided on this randomly and didn't really give it much thought compared to the second task. The worm's eye view, although not being as compositionally cohesive as I would have planned, I think that the angle and the colours work well to detail the image and it is much more understandable compared to its counterpoint.

With the figure study I wanted to take a photo of myself with some form of weapon to practice more with this. Although I struggled with the torso and it's foreshortening and this can be clear due to how long it is compared to the photo beside it.
