Week 6: adaptive styles

This week we learnt about the use of shape theory and understanding what makes up a style. With this we were tasked with taking a preexisting character and translating them in different artstyles. I found that translating into the cartoonish styles worked easier as they are more fundamental shapes which makes them easier to interpret for a different character. The more intricate styles such as Genshin impact, apex and beastars meant that I had to interpret more by myself and I struggled with this because of the different lineart techniques and such and trying to replicate these well so that the style could be noticable.
